Briardale House, one of the finest homes in Albury, offers the discerning traveller Luxury
Bed & Breakfast accommodation in Albury - Wodonga. Briardale, being a traditionally
hosted Bed & Breakfast located in a quiet and tranquil northern suburb of Albury, is the
ideal hub for exploring our historic city and surrounding area. Our home is situated on the
original Briardale Orchard grounds established in 1919 by the Heathwood family and
offers views over the now cleared orchard area, where mass replanting of eucalypt,
acacia and other species native to this area has taken place, which has re-introduced the
local bird life to the area. This is a lovely place to wander, especially along the untouched
Bungambrawatha Creek which winds its way through the park.
Bedroom Suites
Briardale, Alburys finest Bed & Breakfast, has three delightfully appointed Suites, all
above stairs on the first floor. Each feature a private bathroom ( ensuite ), Queensize
brass bed with deluxe mattress and fine quality manchester, beautiful antique dressing
table, individual airconditioning units, LCD television and wardrobe. All Suites are
spacious and very quiet, having views over the old cottage gardens and Heathwood Park.
Each ensuite has a large shower, heated towel rail and ceiling heat lamps. Superior
personal bathroom amenities are provided. The Heathwood Spa Suite features a two-
person corner spa.
Parlour & Dining Room
Breakfast and Dinner are served in the Dining Room which has views to the garden
through the bay window. It is furnished with antiques, quality tableware and is
airconditioned. Enjoy a hearty, full cooked breakfast to start the day or if you prefer, a
substantial continental offering. Evening meals are available for guests to enjoy should
you not wish to venture out for the evening - meals may be booked when reserving your
suite online and we are licensed for your convenience with Australian and imported beers
and wines available.
Rates:
At “Briardale” we offer our guests the option of full breakfast, continental breakfast or our
Room Only rate at time of booking, so please choose your desired option carefully. All
rates include tea, coffee and snacks in the dining room, free secure parking and free wi-fi
throughout the house. There is no minimum stay period and discounts are offered on
most options for stays of two days and more. Evening meals are available for guests to
enjoy rather than venturing out - meals may be ordered when booking on-line, we provide
a simple, fresh menu and we are licensed for your convenience.
Briardale is also the ideal base for the Corporate Traveller to enjoy, you may wish to
register with us for priority booking and corporate rates.
Rates between $145 - $190
Check in time is 2:00 pm with checkout being 11:00am.
Please note that Briardale is not "hi -tech", we do not have satellite, austar, foxtel, cable or
pay TV. You do have free wireless internet and free-to-air TV in your room. There is no
television in the Parlour.
Booking Policy
A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to secure the booking.
Person making the booking must be 18 years old or over. We accept cash, Visa &
Mastercard.
Every effort will be made to provide your Suite of choice but we reserve the right to alter
this for operational purposes. Telephone bookings will only be confirmed by us via email
to you.
Deposit Policy
There is usually no charge made to your Credit Card until check-out, but in some
circumstances a deposit will be held. Your Credit Card is pre-authorised as a deposit.
You will be notified by email should there be a problem authorising your Credit Card to
secure your booking.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that the best laid plans and itineraries go astray, therefore we are flexible
with cancellations. We ask that you contact us before 4pm on day of stay to advise of any
change in arrival date and we will do our best to work in with your changes, but please
read & understand our "No Show Policy". Guests are advised to purchase adequate
Travel Insurance.
No Show Policy
If no cancellation has been made by 4pm on day of stay and you fail to show up at the
property, we will charge a one night room tariff for the number of rooms booked plus an
administration fee of AU$20.00 to your Credit Card.
Child Policy
Please note that children are welcome at Briardale but can only be accommodated in the
existing bedding arrangements, ie, one Queen size bed per bedroom and will be charged
at the appropriate rate. No other bedding is available for children. Our Suites cater for a
maximum of 2 persons per room. Children must be under supervision at all times.
