Hang around on the verandah of our house, in the shadow of a beautiful linden tree. A peaceful
haven in the center of our city, our house built in 1915 is located on a historical street, close to
the Cathedral, a few steps from the Saguenay River, the restaurants and other activities.
Our five old style bedrooms are large and comfortable. Three of them have a private bathroom
and two other ones have a direct access to a shared bathroom. We have four air conditioned
bedrooms... and more to discover.
Have a quiet rest accompanied by a substantial breakfast.
In 1912, a large part of our city went on fire; many houses and buildings were destroyed.After all
was finished the City decided to rebuild what had been destroyed and develop land around the
surroundings of the main church that had been damaged by fire.
That is the way the Rue du Séminaire was developed and many bourgeois houses built on
both sides of the street. This street used to be called at that time “Bourgeois Street”.
Now it is a Historic Street protected by Provincial laws and rules.
Our house was built in 1915 by an automobile dealer and was owned by the family until the ‘80’
s. The house had to be large, the family counting as much as 10 children at the table and 2
maids to help. . When the house was sold, the new owners tranformed it slightly to welcome 14
elderly persons besides keeping their two teen agers with them.
Then in 1998 we discovered this house was for sale. We purchased it and using the same
spaces as the previous owners we decided to use it as a Bed and Breakfast.
Without knowing, we were starting a very happy adventure...
Rooms:
The Rondo:
The air conditioned Rondo room is decorated with antique bed and dresser. It has its own
private bathroom with a shower and television and Internet. Time stops by and you will enjoy the
pleasure of being around to relax. The bed cover is swan feather, the sheets are percale. The
old-style character gives this room a quiet atmosphere. The sloped ceiling will lead you into a
quiet night. A night in this room will bring you a peaceful rest. Fresh water, dressing-gowns and
fresh flowers are some of the things always available for you in this room.
The Sonate:
With its Queen bed and a recamier (spare berth) the Sonate room welcomes you to a very quiet
rest. The room is air conditioned and has a private bathroom, television and Internet. The
headboard and the storage bin are rattan. The swan feather-bed cover and the percale sheets
will rock you into a good night sleep. This is the ideal place to relax and regain energy. Being in
this wonderful and peaceful setting will delight you and you will come back sooner or later.
Fresh water, dressing-gowns and fresh flowers are some of the things always available for you
in this room.
The Adagio:
This large room contains two single beds and a spare berth. The decor brings an attractive
atmosphere propitious to a good night sleep. Besides the bathroom is located right in front of
the room. Fresh water, dressing gowns and treats are among the things expecting you.
The Menuet:
Our Menuet Room has a very comfortable Queen bed; it also has a small private bathroom and
a little conversatioon area with television and Internet. The bedspreads are very silky and
sheets are percale; these will lead you into nice dreams. This air conditioned room is located
on the northern side of the house. It is large and its sloped ceiling makes it very attractive.
Through the window one can hear the birds sing and maybe on Sunday mornings the bells of
the Cathedral might wake you up. Fresh water, dressing-gowns and fresh flowers are some of
the things always available in this room.
The Romance:
Equiped with a very comfortable copper bed the old-day atmosphere of our air conditioned
Romance room will bring you détente and a peaceful night sleep. Located on the upper story
and on the southern side of our house this room is protected from the street noises. Take
advantage of such an environment. Fresh water, night gowns and treats are expecting you.
Amenities:
You can cook your own meals in the kitchenette and even use the refrigerator
You can relax in the living room, watch TV and use high speed Internet.
Washer and dryer are available free in the bathroom which is complete whith a shower-bath, wc
and bidet.
And a morning terrace can be enjoyed every sunny day.
Rates:
$80 - $100 night
Our daily rate in single occupancy -plus taxes- is Can70.00$ to Can75.00$.
Our daily rate in double occupancy -plus taxes- is Can80.00$ to Can100.00$.
Extra person is Can20.00$
We accept cash money, Visa or Mastercard.
No deposit is required when making reservations.
Free cancellation two days before arrival.
50% will be charged one day before arrival.
100% will be charged when cancelling on the day of arrival.
